WILM&A BOOK CLUB WITH A TWIST

Join us as we delve into New York Time’s Best seller Fair Play by Even Rodsky

*Time is GMT

"A hands-on, real talk guide for navigating the hot-button issues that so many families struggle with" - Reese Witherspoon

Eve Rodsky is changing society one relationship at a time, by coming up with a 21st-century solution to an age-old problem: women shouldering the brunt of domestic responsibilities, the mental load, the emotional labour. Everything that is required to keep the fridge full, the children's homework in their bags, and the household running. The unequal division of all this invisible work in relationships is a recipe for disaster, but no one has offered a real solution to this dilemma, until now.

Difficult Conversations with Beth Fitzgerald

Difficult Conversations with Beth Fitzgerald - Live Virtual Event at 5pm EST and 10pm BST

Nobody likes to have difficult conversations and, consequently, we very rarely ever do. And even if we actually decide to have these very uncomfortable conversations, we very often don’t deliver the difficult news that we set out to deliver. We chicken out, we say nice things and dance around or shy away from the difficult parts of the conversation. For this reason, the recipient of this supposed “difficult conversation” rarely hears the news they are supposed to hear. So how effective is this “strategy?” Does any of this sound familiar to you?

I used to approach difficult conversations with the “brutal honesty” approach—you know my type—I’m the rip the band-aid off kind of gal. Even though this strategy allowed me the opportunity to actually deliver the difficult news, it isn’t really an effective methodology either. This style usually breeds either resentment and/or resistance. Difficult conversations are effective when they are handled with not only honesty (regular honesty, not brutal honesty), but genuine kindness, as well.

So if you find difficult conversations something that you shy away from or that they make you sick to your stomach when you know you have to have one, join we next week for my FREE webinar on How to Handle Difficult Conversations. If you are a leader, this is a must! Tell your colleagues to join in as well. Heck, difficult conversations happen within our families, too—or at least they should be. Learning how to deliver a difficult conversation so that everyone walks away in a better place is exactly what we are shooting for. Everyone should consider jumping on this call.

Energy Work- Techniques to manage stress

Beth Fitzgerald is back! Our WILM&A cheer-LEADER will run another session focusing on techniques to manage stress.

Energy in the human body is generally flowing, but there are times that negative or stressful events can cause an energy blockage. Energy work is a holistic practice that activates the body's subtle energy systems to remove blocks. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, upset, or even physically drained, energy work might be right for you. Energy work is a complementary modality that shouldn't exclude Western medicine. The Soften and Flow technique that we will be using is simply a breathing exercise.

This is a virtual event, to attend you need to register (link below) and you will receive further updates about this event and how you can join.

So this gives you the flexibility to choose your preferred method if reading the book is not always on the cards.

Our chosen book is 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval N Hariri
We have a closed Linkedin group where we post updates and engage on the topic/theme of our book club sessions. Be sure to connected with me here and I will send you the invite. Hope you can join us! Best wishes, Laila
